Readings, steamers, signings and sales....

Tatnuck was fun. I had calendars and almanacs and offered one of my guests the opportunity to have her calendar PERSONALIZED w/good and difficult days. (+ and - on the days). Sold some books, and was on Christina Andropolous's City Vibes show which airs to Charter 3 audiences in Worc. County. 

So...the book is available at all the usual places nationwide PLUS in my car. This week's fun impromptu sale: to Chriztine Foltz who, with husband Tom Alonzo was eating a backwards seafood dinner at Conrad's in Lunenburg (ice cream first). I got to sell a book PLUS got to finish their steamers for them :-)

I will be at the Westminster Farmers' Market selling puppets, jewelry, handmadethisandthat plus THE ASTROLOGICAL ELEMENTS. That's Friday from 3 to 7 pm. Hopefully nicer than now as it's hot enough to cook steamers on the top of this monitor....

Had to postpone my visit with Christina at CITY VIBES, due to a truly diabolical stomach bug that came home with my son and laid waste many previously-made plans. Llewellyn asked me to contribute a BLOG entry to their site. I wrote about Reading Aloud to folks in bookstores, which is v. fun particularly if someone gets me a cup of good coffee ahead of time. 

Next event: Tatnuck on May 22. I better be better. Spring is no time for unhealth!

WXLU and Twitter

There are insane amounts of social media networking sites. I use Facebook and Twitter. Friend me/join for updates. And b/c of FB, I was able to find my old friend Peter Choyce online doing an afternoon stint at KXLU in LA. So I called him and talked a bit about the book.

Barnes & Noble signing/reading was VERY fun! Got to see old friends, former writing class students and hear what's new with them AND met lotsa new folks, many of whom had read the Telegram piece!

Just rec'd email from Jennifer at Llewellyn, entree to the world of the PODCAST!! Have done radio and of course am on WCRN every Monday but a chunk o'time to talk about the book. 

Also did a reading in the B&N Cafe. Some people not in our group seemed to listen. It was slightly easier than the Gibson's reading, during which time Jet decided if I was going to talk SHE was going to talk, and talk LOUDER! Note to self: the baby at the reading better be sleeping.
